Are You Making the Most of Your CRM?

A customer relationship management system can be a vital tool in helping your business grow, regardless of your company size or industry. It’s estimated that more than $36 million will be spent on CRMs by the end of 2017. As adoption continues to increase, it’s important to understand how to get the most out of your tool. A good system can help managers understand their reps’ pipeline, build customer relationships and grow revenue. It can also increase customer satisfaction and retention.

Did you know only 47% of all companies have a customer relationship management system? On top of that, only 43% of those companies use fewer than half the features available.

Adoption Requires Discipline

The majority of companies that adopt a CRM to measure their sales team’s performance face three major issues:

  • Reps must manually enter their data after each call, which takes time away from selling and effectiveness
  • Inaccurate or missing data can cause problems for managers when forecasting
  • Data needs to be continually updated

The Rise of the Mobile CRM

According to Gartner, over half of CRM deployments in the near future will be cloud-based. This seems to be the more preferable choice over installed CRM in terms of security, time and cost. Almost 50% of users can now access their companies CRM from a smartphone or tablet changing the way salespeople sell and manage their customers and prospects.
