Please be aware that the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has just announced that it has approved rate increases for telephone solicitors to access the National Do Not Call List over a three (3) year period.

The first rate increase will become effective August 1st, 2015, and fees will be increased from $33,642 annually for all Canadian area codes to $45,134 annually for all Canadian area codes, or $2,013 annually per individual area code to $2,701 annually per individual area code.

After the fee increase on August 1st, 2015, the next fee increase will become effective April 1st, 2016, increasing the fees to $47,013 annually for all Canadian area codes, or $2,813 annually per individual area code.

The third fee increase will become effective April 1st, 2017, increasing fees to $48,047 annually for all Canadian area codes, or $2,875 annually per individual area code. Subscriptions expiring before August 1st, 2015, will be charged at the previous rate of $33,642 for a twelve-month period of all Canadian area codes.
