Illinois Repeals State Telemarketing Law

Please be aware that Illinois has repealed its state do-not-call statute, effective immediately.  While the state of Illinois had already adopted the National Do Not Call Registry as its state do-not-call list, the state had a more restrictive Established Business Relationship (EBR) definition.  Previously, Illinois only permitted the recognition of Inquiry EBRs for up to thirty (30) days.  Effective immediately, Illinois Inquiry EBRs may be recognized for up to three (3) months, per federal rules.
